Kindly read the entirety of this post as it addresses
many relevant issues, queries, and scenarios. Thank you.
Monthly Class Schedule
~ All times are EST (Eastern Standard Time) ~
How to Participate
1. Zoom: Classes will be held on the video platform called Zoom. Best is to download the Zoom application ahead of time. Please note that some folks, on occasion, have experienced sound issues when using Zoom on a tablet.
2. E-Z Registration: When you wish to enter the class, click on the Zoom link / invitation of the desired class on our monthly calendar (shown above) and complete the very short registration form (name, email etc), which allows me to take attendance for each class. Note: You must register every time. Also, do not register ahead of time; register when you are ready to join the class. More Tips For Using Zoom.
3. Join In: Welcome! The above two steps are enough. Once completed, you will be in the class.
4. Tuition: All payments will be handled separately (explained below).
Tuition & Payment
We have always enjoyed being the “local, neighborhood, tight-knit” yoga community, and part of that feel is that to take a class all you had to do was “show up”. The money side can be done at your convenience – before or after class etc. This system is based on cooperation and trust, which is the backbone of our renyoga community. So we thought, “Why not spread this same homespun approach to our live, online classes.”
Here then are the tuition guidelines:
1. Any single 1 hr yoga class: $10
2. Any single 20 min abs or wall yoga class: $4
3. Yoga & abs or yoga & wall yoga on the same day: $12
4: Weekly pass: $20
Key Point: The above is subject to change. For instance, if we are attracting large numbers of people to our classes, then either the prices will drop, or we will add free bonus classes to the schedule. Alternatively, if many more classes are added, then the weekly rate might increase etc. We just have to see how it all goes. In short, this is a “human-cum-yoga-cum-organic-cooperative-financial-process” bound up in the ideal that we can make this work nicely for all.
How to Pay:
1. Venmo: Find me @RenaissanceYoga – This is the absolute best and preferred method of payment. Put the app on your phone and you’ll be good to go.
2. Paypal: Find me on Paypal (renyoga@earthlink.net), or ask me to send you a Paypal invoice. Or use this gift certificate button or weekly pass button for your desired amount.
3. Check: Let me know here that you are mailing a check to: Renaissance Yoga, PO Box 22, Tracys Landing MD 20779
4. Please do not pay for live online classes through Vimeo (not to be confused with Venmo), as Vimeo is only for renting our on-demand videos, not taking live classes.
Note: This should be an easy, simple, and fast process for you. Any issues, let me know. I will continue to explore options.
When to Pay: The day of your class or at the beginning of the week, as appropriate.
What About My Credit for On-Site Classes
Frozen in Time: At this point, we have simply put all yoga credit and monthly passes on pause mode. They were frozen in time on Sat, March 14, 2020. And we will hold that in place with the hope that we can one day return to our regular, on-site class schedule. That said, please know that renyoga onsite classes will only return when it is certain that the risk is either eliminated or significantly reduced. Hint: Renyoga will NOT be in the first batch of businesses in MD to return back to normal hours. This is far too serious — and too much of an unknown — to return before the scene is proven safe.
Overall Idea: Onsite and online class payments will be handled independently of each other.
Your Queries: Should you have any questions or concerns about the above, write us here.
On-line Video Archive
All our online classes will be recorded and compiled in an on-line video archive that is currently in development. Watch for more info about this.
The Podcast Story
As soon as the quarantine hit, we got to work making “Stay-At-Home Yoga” podcasts, which have been extremely popular and widely used. Those podcasts are freely accessible to all here, and they will remain that way. As time permits, our aim is to continue to add to that collection on a regular basis.
Gratitude
During this trying and most unusual period, you all – the renyoga community – have been so supportive, engaged, generous, patient, and kind. And it is so greatly appreciated!! We look forward to taking things forward from here, relying on our flexibility of mind and overall care to make this a success story for all.
This is the best news since this all began! A glimmer of hope and first step back to normal❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Look forward to practicing with you Annie!! We shall build this step by step….
Thank you for all of your great podcasts that you have been so generously providing!! Looking forward to the virtual classes🙏
You are most welcome Debbie – thanks for all your good ideas and suggestions along the way!!! That keeps the train on the tracks and moving forward!!!
I’m going to try to make it, but now that I’m 3 hours behind in Washington State it will be hard to make the abs class!
How wonderful Marisa!!!
I feel it will not be long before we get more classes going, and I will be sure to think of you and the west-coasters who are on PST!!!
