Gentle Challenge: Aug ’18 – Week #1

Welcome to the Gentle Challenge where each week of August we will explore a new gentle yoga pose….

Week 1: We are going to focus on half-frog pose.


Instructions: 
1. Lie in a prone position – i.e. face down on your mat.
2. Slide yourself to the right side of your mat.
2. Bring your left knee up even with your hip.
3. Ensure your left knee to your left ankle is straight, parallel to the left edge of your yoga mat.
4. Bring your arms to a T-shape and then slide your left arm down till your left wrist is touching tangentially to your left knee.
5. Turn your head to the right side so your left cheek is flush to the mat and you are gazing towards your right hand.
6. Close your eyes, breathe easy, relax, and settle into this gentle hip-opener.
7. Remain here 1 – 2 minutes and then do the other side.
