Outdoor Yoga: Eve of the Equinox

Outdoor Yoga: Eve of the Equinox

This past Thurs, Sep 20, we concluded our outdoor yoga season with a stellar evening. In total, we were a perfect 5 for 5, as all of our scheduled outdoor yoga sessions from May to September were met with fantastic weather and spirited participants. And, of course, our deepest gratitude to our gracious hosts, Ray and Stacy Greenstreet, along with their wonderful staff, of Greenstreet Gardens….

Here is our mystical sky at dusk, at about halfway through our practice – the air was warm and light. Absolutely ideal conditions!!

We did a full range of poses – lunges, lateral balance, triangle variations,  and much more, but I tend more towards practitioner than photographer so only a few were captured “on film”.

Here below is one of those deep supine stretches that are energizing and relaxing all at the same time.

We were not alone during the evening. The resident “garden by day” and “greenhouse by night” cat spied on us from her lofty perch and meowed the entire time. She was really keen to practice with us.

Not only did Ms Kitty bear witness to our practice, but a waxing moon did as well. That suited our meditative and yoga nidra endeavors towards the end of our practice.

Finally, this is what happens when you try to take a picture of the sky when you are surrounded by yogis: A foot (Sharon’s!) gets in the way.

Look forward to seeing you next year for our 2019 Outdoor Yoga season at Greenstreet Gardens!!
