Dr Matthew Walker guides us how sleep is the foundation upon which all of the chief pillars of health (diet, exercise, hydration) are based on. Yet, Dr Walker readily admits that the body’s need for oxygen is even more essential than sleep. Thus, the breath is a key component for not only our basic survival but our overall health as well. The notion that “Breathing is breathing” is just not so. How we breathe varies greatly, and when we do it in a conscious manner we can transform our lives.
