Sharon’s Smoothie

Here is a chocolate smoothie recipe that comes to us by way of Sharon:

Thought you all might be interested in this yummy smoothie recipe (some of you may already know this one from Dr.  Joel Fuhrman’s book, Eat to Live.

CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE
– 5 ounces of spinach (2 Large handfuls)
– 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
(I usually add either more almond milk or some coconut water otherwise
I think it’s a little too thick, see what you think)
– 1 banana
– 2 cups frozen blueberries
– 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder (heaping 🙂 )
– 2 to 4 dried pitted dates
– 1 Tablespoon of ground flaxseed
 
Combine all ingredients in Vitamix, food processor or other high speed blender.
 
This really is yummy. We drink it all the time for breakfast, dessert, whenever. Sometimes I add some coconut oil if I feel like it. It’s pretty adaptable Hope you like it!
