Holiday Week Update

I trust this note finds you in good health and enjoying the holiday cheer, in whatever way you may be celebrating. This is a great time to reflect, rejoice, remember our goal(s), and take aim for a spectacular entry into 2012!!

Here is a bit about what I have been up to and how this week will unfold.

Mom came into town from NC last Thursday and attended our Friday morning class in Dunkirk. She enjoyed seeing the many familiar faces in class. Then of course we held classes on Saturday, Dec 24, as well.

The last few days have been full of conversation, visiting, cooking, eating (though Saturday was a fasting day as someone did inquire), long walks, and all kinds of joyous activities.

Today, mom and I are headed up to NY for our annual sojourn and shall return Wednesday evening. So there will not be classes today, tomorrow or Wednesday.

Our public classes resume Friday morning, Dec 30, in Dunkirk at 9am for our Yoga Flow class and our normal Saturday schedule will be in full swing on Dec 31.  All are welcome to join us in any or all of these classes. Come on now, don’t you think Dec 31 is an ideal time to embark on our Abs class!!!

Starting Monday, January 2, we will be back into our regular class schedule and we look forward to starting the new year with all of you and rolling out more new programs and offerings in 2012!!

Namaskar,
Satyam

  1. This holiday we made our way to Florida and spent Christmas in the sun. What a wonderful treat! Went swimming in the ocean today. The water was in the mid 70s and very refreshing. Hope you all are enjoying as much as I am. I do miss home tho, and will be heading back Tuesday. See you in class….

  2. How wonderful Tina!!

That sounds really great – currently I am in NY and I can assure you I have no interest in jumping into any body of water around here!! Though it is unseasonably warm given that it is late Dec – after all!

Have a great stay in Fla! & see you in class soon!!

  3. Ann and I got to visit with 4 of our 5 children and four grandchildren who live locally in Hagerstown, Washington DC, Silver Spring, and Shady Side. Our oldest son lives in San Francisco which is a little far to travel. On Christmas Day at our church I performed the special music along with a woman who has a beautiful soprano voice(Oh Holy Night). On Monday we traveled to Wilmington DE to visit with Ann’s family (Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, cousins, etc.) I came back Monday night and collapsed after driving 482 miles in three days! See you Saturday Morning.

  4. Great to receive your holiday news update, Satyam. On 20 and 22 Dec. we had 2 blizzards here, total result – 12″ or more in drifts. Needless to say it was a White Christmas in Colorado Springs. In the usual fashion it was sunny and clear the next several days with lovely views over the mtn. range. The same view from my yoga class! It’s a balmy 50 now, but the snow won’t leave us quickly due to the altitude and crisp nights. Lots of deer and fox tracks in the snow. But our real highlight was the youngest grandchild in Owings, age 2, singing Jingle Bells to us via Skype. Hope you enjoyed your family time and trek to NY. We’ll spend NY’s Eve at a neighborhood gathering – a shared food prep event – watching fireworks over Pike’s Peak and the USAF Academy. Thank you for helping me to stay on my “journey to renewal” these past 2 years when in MD. See you in the future. Namaskar in 2012.
