with Shawn O’Neill, DPT

Discover and learn how to move your body in a healthy, safe, dynamic, and powerful manner. Enhance your knowledge and ability to establish and maintain proper alignment, both in and out of your yoga poses.

In this seminar, we will examine the entire spine – the upper and lower core – and apply this to our yoga practice and daily living patterns. We shall also review key muscle groups and related anatomy, injury prevention, posture, and the essentials of bio-mechanics.

This Yoga Anatomy workshop – the 5th in our ongoing series – offers important skills both for your yoga practice and everyday movements. So this seminar is appropriate for all – no prior experience is necessary. Everyone will be able to come away with guidelines and tenets appropriate for their needs.

Our Yoga Anatomy workshops are very popular – be sure to register early. Once again we welcome Shawn O’Neill, as together he and I (Satyam) will guide you through this session.

What to Bring: Yoga mat, block (if you have one), strap (if you have one), PT band (if you have one), water bottle, yoga wear, long-sleeve top for warmth, writing utensil.

About Shawn C O’Neill DPT: Shawn was a mainstay in our region for most of his life. However, this past year he relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he has joined a thriving private practice. Formerly Shawn worked at Bayside Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation, Edgewater MD. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University of Maryland – College Park, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Maryland – Eastern Shore. We are very pleased that despite his change in residence that he continues to join us for these Yoga Anatomy seminars.

Yes, I would like to register for this seminar.
