Yama & Niyama: Thursday, Dec 19 @ 6:30p
Join us for an interesting and inspiring evening exploring the codes of yoga
and how to live by them…
Overview: This evening is ideal for anyone who ever wanted to know “just a little bit more about yoga – like, how do I live it off the mat?” If that is you, then set the time aside and come join us.
What to Expect: The evening shall begin with a short series of postures to find ourselves in a more comfortable place. Then we will engage in an open, wide-ranging discussion of the principles of yama and niyama, and how we can apply them to daily life. Plenty of stories and parables will be shared along the way, and there will be ample scope for questions and sharing. We will then close with a short meditation.
More Info: Yama and Niyama stand as the foundation of yogic thought. We shall explore these principles and how they touch our daily lives, as well as how they fit into the greater configuration of yogic philosophy.
What to Bring: yoga mat, pen & journal or laptop, or just come with nothing at all but an open mind.
Time and Place: Thursday, Dec 19, 2019 (6:30p – 8p) at Christ Church Parish Hall (204 Owensville Rd), West River
Cost: $15 or monthly pass
