Week in Review
So where are we now – aaahhh yes – the beginning of November. And what a transition to November we had! Didn’t grandma, or some great sage, warn us about this.
Well, we made it through hurricane Sandy rather well – or perhaps I should say: She spared us. Not without first issuing a mile high’s worth of warnings.
So Sandy went, and Halloween came. This was our sixth annual Halloween Yoga gathering and the second time in six years that it landed on Halloween (the other was 2007). Between Sandy & actual Halloween day – we were bested. But only on the point of quantity.
That’s right this year we had less than usual for our Halloween Yoga gathering, but we more than made up for it in quality – i.e. spirited presence. Before mentioning this year’s Halloween costume (if you do not already know it) let me say that in ascending order, the previous 5 years I was: a laundry basket, Abraham Lincoln, a pirate, a black-eyed pea, and a traffic light. And this year I was a yogi voting booth: Anandam (bliss) or Bust (maya). Trust me – it was and is a great costume!
So we had a merry gathering – and some great pics are on the way as there were some really wonderful costumes! However, just to make sure I get my fill, I might put on my costume a few more times just to ensure I hit my quota – i.e. number of people who should see my Halloween costume. This weekend I wore it for the Saturday morning team – so I am not joking…
Anyway, all in all, a fine week it was and I look forward to seeing you soon.
BTW, how was your Halloween and what did you dress up as?
Gratitude: Many thanks to Jason du Cellier photography for doing such an outstanding job at our Halloween gathering. We look forward to sharing the pics with you all soon!!
