In this ultra-modern age where technology abounds and Curiosity is landing on Mars, we must not lose sight of the tremendous wisdom from two of humanity’s ancient disciplines: Acupuncture and yoga.

This seminar combines the healing capacity and insight of acupuncture with the movement and intuitional sadhana (meditation) of yoga. We will weave theory with practice, and use the ancient art of acupuncture as our base to learn more about the human condition. How does acupuncture work? What is the science and mystique behind it?

We will also examine the similarities and potential contrasts between acupuncture and yoga. How do these ancient disciplines from the Far East complement one another? How do they differ?

This will be an investigative, yet open, forum for discovering how these two disciplines can help us in our day to day lives: Bringing the ancient past to practice in the present.

We heartily welcome Ms Alisha Ann Juliano as our special guest presenter as she joins Satyam for this seminar. Please read about Alisha’s background below.
