I made a few days of smoothies this morning. Ingredients are often whatever I have on hand, today is: Organic triple berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries), a little bit of frozen organic diced mango, mixed greens, kale, a bit of macha powder for protein, and a bit of homemade cashew milk and water. Makes a pretty dark purple! Hard to tell in the photo.

Here is another great no-bake treat that costs nickels to make but would be very pricey to buy. And it is very easy too! I slightly adapted this recipe from Five Heart Home. I used medjool dates instead of raisins, maple syrup instead of honey, and added shredded coconut. The only thing I would do differently next time is to soak (8 hours) the nuts ahead of time.

A successful maiden journey in making date energy balls loosely based off of a scant recipe with no measurements – can’t go wrong though with great ingredients: almonds, walnuts, shredded coconut, dates, vanilla, sea salt, tahini, water.

Our morning smoothie with kale, spinach, banana, hemp seed, flaxseed and spirulina as well as frozen fruit, raspberries, strawberries, pineapple, peaches and Maine blueberries. Add a slice of lemon a slice of fresh ginger some almond milk and coconut water and start up the Vitamix! Delicious!

A smoothie for the ages: bananas, strawberries (bought fresh, then washed & frozen), raspberries (bought fresh, then washed & frozen), ground flax seed, almond milk, peanut butter flavored organic protein powder, water.

My amazing breakfast smoothie, packed full of goodness. Banana, oats, cashew milk, turmeric, dates, peanut butter, ground flaxseed, chia seed, and water.
Jeannie would you share your measurements to make your smoothie? Sounds great!
Here you go….
3/4 cup cashew milk
1 banana
1/4 cup oats
1 tbsp peanut butter
2 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tsp chia seed
2 pitted medjool dates
Water to get it to your desired consistency
And a topping of hemp hearts if you like.
I was finally able to make the smoothie! Loved it, so not the traditional smoothies I’m used to making. Thank you again for sharing 😋
Great to hear it was a good one for you!!! Wonderful to try something new – I think I will give it a go as well….
Well you all inspired me and I made that smoothie today minus the chia seeds as I was out of them. Also I had almond milk instead of cashew milk. It was a real treat…..and enjoyed by all!!! We made a triple portion!!
