Star Food Challenge

For the month of April we will be pursuing the yummy Star Food Challenge…!!!


Overview: Surely you must be wondering what the Star Food Challenge is. Well, here is your answer: It is a raw food challenge yet it carries so much star power that I wanted to avert the notion we’d be eating celery stalks all month. Because the raw food / no-bake approach to eating is much more than that. First off, the yogis say that raw foods are one of the secrets to a long life. Secondly, it is quite amazing to see just what folks make using raw ingredients. There is an entire arena and cuisine that is available out there. So let’s dig in and get after it.

Special Tips: Here are some techniques and tips to kick your Star Food Challenge into high gear:
(a) Think smoothies, smoothies, smoothies. Google smoothies.
(b) Type in “No Bake _______” and in the blank space put muffins, cookies, power bars, cakes etc.
(c) Don’t forget your avocados.
(d) Kiwi it. Coconut it. Sesame it.
(e) Not your grandma’s salad: If pomegranate seeds can go in a salad – anything can! But just be sure to keep it raw.
(f) Blend it, shred it, dry it, soak it, you name it.
(g) Ok fine, if carrot & celery sticks are your go to (both of which I like very much and have been eating lately). Same is the case with apple and peanut / almond butter.
