Snow Yoga: Chance Meeting In the Woods
Both Jean (left) and Nancy went on vacation with their own families – separately.
They were both going to Deep Creek Lake, but it is a big area and they were staying in different locations.
Both went for an outing of trekking through the snow in the woods, to enjoy nature’s solitude.
As the universe would have it, they hiked to the same spot, on the same day, at the same time: A “chance” meeting in the woods!
Nancy writes: “I couldn’t believe it but I ran into Jean in the woods at Swallow Falls!”
So they took it as an opportunity to do tree pose together! (Click here to see a bigger version of this photo.)
Note: Jean and and Nancy have been practicing together in our Thursday morning class for years and years.

Finally, for those looking for a blast from the past, check out this old snow yoga post from the dark ages of 2010…
That was ‘snow’ coincidence; it was serendipity! Love the pic!
Did this meeting take place on Thursday morning at 9am?? 🙂
Beautiful poses in the beautiful snow!
Hi Nancy it was so nice to actually meet you today; feel like I know you from all these blog posts! You are inspiring! Your crow poses are so powerful and strong…hope to see you in the Saturday class again sometime…Annie
Annie, I just saw this post. Thank you for the kind comments. It was so nice to meet you, too. You are an inspiration to me, going right back into yoga practice so soon after hip replacement. I hope to attend Saturday’s class more often and bring my husband too.
Hey Annie – the above post was from me. Not sure why it said anonymous!
(note: Nancy, I have since added your name to your prior post – Satyam)
