In the words of the great American thinker, Henry David Thoreau, “Simplify, Simplify, Simplify.” In this complex, ultra-modern, materialistic era, this guideline can indeed be a panacea.
But where to begin & how to do it? What does simplify mean and how do I get there?
With the age-old teachings of yoga – i.e. the codes of yama and niyama – as the basis of our investigation, and our own home-grown yoga community as a support network, we can indeed make great strides. In this session, we shall identify problem areas, brain-storm alternative pathways, and offer dynamic solutions.
The ten guiding principles of yama and niyama provide great insight and clarity on what steps we can take to make life neater & cleaner – in all the spheres: Physical, moral, psychic, social, & spiritual.
So this will be a grand gathering: We will learn practical yogic guidelines, examine today’s materialistic culture, and reflect upon personal aims and goals.
Wish I could attend, I would love this subject, but I will be out of town.
Oh – you will certainly be missed – in a discussion-based program like this, I know you would have a lot to offer…
I wish I could have been at this seminar – I need to learn some tips to simplify 😉 It’s crazy being a parent (or anyone) in today’s world with the pressure to keep pace. I know it’s not healthy and I’ve been striving to de-clutter and take time to sit back and relax. It’s a work in progress 🙂
Hi Sarah,
Too bad you couldn’t be there – you would have been a great addition – we missed not having you there!!
