Outdoor Yoga July 17: A Photo Journal

Had a wonderful turnout (32+) for Outdoor Yoga this past Thursday, July 17. And the weather could not have been better.

Here is what folks had to say about the occasion (via email) – feel free to add your comments below – followed by a photo journal of the gathering:

– Had a great time at outdoor yoga: )

– Just wanted to let you know I LOVED the class last night, and it was so nice to see virtually a sample of people from all of your classes attending. I think you have a winning formula with the beautiful location, perfect weather, a calm teaching style and classes that have bonded with each other.

– Thanks for giving Mother Nature a second chance. Class was great last night! The gentle pace of the class was in sync with peaceful environment! I will definitely come to another outdoor session.

Here below are various photos from the gathering. All captions are above the photo and click on any photo to enlarge it.

Before the session began, everyone was lounging on the lawn, talking, and enjoying!

Then we got into our practice which started in a very slow and gentle way and worked up into poses like this…

In the concluding portion of our practice, we did an extended mediation and relaxation and everyone had the option to be in a seated or lying position…

Then all went into shavasana (corpse pose) under the vastness of the sky to completely restore…

Afterwards, there was a short story about one king and how he stood by his principles – and upheld his dharma. So although it looked like he was going to lose all his wealth – in the end he gained everything by living by his moral principles – (photo credit T. Crofoot)

Alas, all good things come to an end – it was time to leave – yet we shall all return again on Aug 19 for the next Outdoor Yoga gathering – (photo credit T. Crofoot)
