Our Steps Along the Path: Allegory & Horse Video

See how one horse’s venture into the unknown serves as the perfect allegory for our own steps along the path…

Basically we have a hard time with the unfamiliar – new things do not always come easy for us. Even if it is something that we should know about, when it appears before us in a different form we do not always recognize it.

Such is the movement on the spiritual path. Although it is our passageway home – to our well-known abode, still we are often hesitant – even skittish – to take that initial step forward. We think, “I am comfortable where I am, why should I step ahead.”

Yet, with a proper and benevolent inner guide – i.e. intuition (bodhi) – we may venture forth. And then, oh my, aren’t we glad we did so. Then that unknown step becomes something we know oh-so-well and the only thing left to do is splash about and rejoice.

Is this below horse video not a wonderful allegory for our own steps on the path.
