Our Grand Vegetarian Potluck

IMG_2163On Friday evening we held our 2nd annual vegetarian potluck; this year it was held at Galesville Memorial Hall. And what a grand occasion it was! Thanks to all who came out for the gathering.

In total, there were 40 – 45 attendees, and an incredible amount of tasty fare. The range and array of dishes that people brought were extraordinary. There were soups, appetizers, stews, salads, stir-fry(s), baked goods and more. It was truly a sumptuous occasion; and it was great to be with everyone, as we had 3 to 4 generations of people represented from 8 month olds to octogenarians. And then of course there was SOCO Artisan Pops(!) – more about that below.

For those who could not attend, here is a quick, mini look at how it played out. On the one side, the hall was filled with tables of people happily eating and sharing tales with one another, and on the other there was a serve-yourself potluck offering that was 5 tables long!! (read more below)

Again, thanks to all who came out and made this a memorable and special occasion.

And yes, one of the great treats was having Christine Pauley of SOCO Artisan Pops – she, and her business partner Tracy King, graciously provided dozens of delicious pops to everyone.

SOCO PopsThey offered four flavors – “Chai Tea Latte”, “Orange Ginger”, “Strawberry Honey Balsamic”, and “Pineapple Lime Basil” – each with its own unique taste…

SOCO Artisan Pops of West River, Maryland are made from fresh seasonal and local ingredients (when available) and do not contain any refined sugars, corn syrup, artificial colors, or flavors. They are wholesome, healthy, and tasty – as all will attest.

Shown here are some of the many who enjoyed these grand treats.

Once again, a real joy to have everyone out for this occasion and we look forward to next year’s gathering – till then – happy and healthy eating with your friends and family!!
