About Kirkworks

While Kirk has been a professional in the field for decades, it is only recently that he has branched out on his own – so here we wish to share with you who Kirk is and what he does…

Kirk Johnson, owner and “Contractor in Chief” at Kirkworks LLC (Edgewater), has been in the home remodeling / repair and custom woodworking business for over 30 years! Kirk’s love of creating with his hands and solution-oriented mindset are at the heart of his work. From building out luxury condos to repairing an old-fashioned door lock that the customer didn’t want to replace, he’s done it all and enjoys the variety. In fact, the range of projects, locations, and unique interactions with customers is integral to his love for what he does. His diverse approach means there’s no job too big (well, almost) or too small. A few of the projects Kirk and his experienced crew can complete include building an addition or deck, remodeling any part of a home, installing a new kitchen or bath, installing tile walls, floors, and backsplashes, painting, and fixing faulty doors and windows. When it comes to custom wood pieces, Kirk has created bookshelves, tables, lamps, and yes, a fully functional electric guitar. He’s worked extensively in the D.C., Northern Virginia, and Montgomery County area and is looking forward to working more in his own community, in and around South County.
