Homemade Detox Cider + Kauffman’s Cider
Homemade Detox Cider + Kauffman’s Cider
Here are two cider treats to try…
From time to time, I pour samples of Kauffman’s Apple Cider (appended below) after class. Here is something I just came across that looks like a wonderful home recipe – one which I shall try soon…perhaps you’d like to as well:
If you do choose to make a cup, let us know how it goes….will be sharing my go at it soon!!
Note: (6/17/19 at 1:30pm): Just made my first round and it was very good – refreshing and tasty. And because it uses both vinegar and lemon it is highly alkaline.
Kauffman’s Apple Cider – $10
This is truly wonderful cider, far better than what I have seen available in the stores. If you would ever like to purchase a jug of fresh cider, just let me know and I will include one for you on our next order.
(Note: Kauffman’s sells it frozen on-line for $22.99 and I saw it on Amazon for a cool $39.99 – so we really do have the best price going…)
“All-natural, gluten-free, and non-GMO, plus is Kosher- and Pareve-certified”
Here is how it is made…(They seem to have made the video without any sound – perhaps because the machines are so loud…)
Here is a quick, casual exchange I had with someone who had a question about this post:
Question: what exactly are you detoxing with the cider detox? And any potential side effects or cautions to watch for?
My reply: A good question – I think detox is probably an overused term – but it is a highly alkaline drink and that would be greatly beneficial. And any time one reduces the acidity of the blood then that would be a form of detox. But again, the term detox is a very loosely used term.
I do not see any side effects or precautions to take. I do not see any hazards of drinking an 8 ounce glass of this. All the ingredients are fine…
My Dad drinks that cider detox everyday – minus the honey (because it is sugar). He adds a few pieces of course sea salt in place of honey and lots of ice. It helps control your blood sugar and allows you to fast all day.
Thanks for the tip of exchanging the honey for sea salt – will try that….
