Experimental Home Yoga Podcast

Experimental Home Yoga Podcast

Here is the audio file from our live online class of 1/5/21.
Let’s see if this can work as a podcast….

Intro: When making podcasts (audio only), the delivery is done in a particular manner so the listener has a clear idea how to proceed. Live online classes are quite a bit different as the practitioner is benefited by a full video presentation. Thus the audio serves more as a complement. As an experiment, and because of late I have not been able to make new podcasts, here is the audio file from the live online class of 1/5/21. If you are feeling brave and confident, please do partake in the below podcast. Let us know if you were able to follow along and / or what were the sticking points. It may be that I can, on occasion, lead online classes wherein I do the narration as if it is a podcast. Look forward to hearing your review…

  1. I did the experimental yoga podcast and I found it to be easy to follow along for the most part. I did get confused around the triangle poses tho. I just did a little freeform when I didn’t know what you were doing. I have to tell you I’ve been wishing you would do exactly what you did with using the sound from one of the classes. I would love doing live or on demand classes, however with such spotty service, Im not guaranteed that I can see the class. Thank you for trying this! I’m all in!!

    1. Wonderful to hear Tina – thanks for checking in on this!!

Will come up with a system for getting more of the audios out there!!!

  2. I gave it a try this morning and was able to follow along with about 3/4. I also got lost in the standing poses and a few other places. And I also just freeformed until I could catch up. You’re right, it’s very different to teach when you know the student can’t see you as opposed to having the benefit of visual cues. That said, I’ll be on the lookout for more!

    1. Thanks Stephanie for boldly jumping into that and leaving a detailed reply as well.

Perhaps this week I will aim to lead a class as if it were a podcast (audio only) and see how that sound file works….

  3. I also tried this out yesterday (Wednesday, February 3rd), and found it easy to follow. I kept looking at my computer screen and you weren’t there – that was different, but love that you’ve posted this for times when I cannot get into one of your classes that I so cherish! Thank you for putting this podcast version out there.

    1. Thanks for checking in on this Nancy – and good to know this will be a solid resource for you going forward!! 👍
