Delicious Smoothie Recipe
Mean Green Protein Smoothie
What a treat to see Cheryl K on Friday morning. First of all she hadn’t been in to class for about a year (at least) – and years before that occasion.
Then she brought with her a large cooler container a homemade smoothie – with plenty of cups for everyone to have a sample!! Needless to say, everyone enjoyed it thoroughly!!
Not only that she brought in slips with the recipe, which I share with you here:
- 5 oz of Graindrops Organic Dairy-Free Probiotic Beverage (original flavor)
- 1 banana, frozen (sometimes use slightly less or smaller banana)
- 1 packed cup spinach
- 1/2 cup pineapple chunks, frozen
- 1/2 cup mango chunks, frozen (usually more of this and less pineapple and banana)
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- 1/2 – 1 cup of coconut water, depending on how thick you like your smoothie
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup, optional
Combine all ingredients in order in your blender and use “crush ice” speed to chop up frozen fruit; then switch to liquify, adding additional coconut water until desired consistency is reached. I normally use just 1/2 cup. Makes one serving.
Here is one girl enjoying her smoothies…
