Arm Balance Workshop – Recap
Had a wonderful arm balance workshop on Sunday – in total we covered upwards of more than 2 dozen arm balance poses and their variations – from the most basic to the more advanced. Everyone got the opportunity to refine their poses and try new challenges.
Some of the highlights included Mary’s first ever handstand (I believe), Annie’s success in her post hip-replacement forearm stand, and Catrina’s gravity-defying walking on the wall, among others…
Here are a few pics that we share with you – thanks to Candy’s keen eye in between her own arm balance poses!!
First we have Sharon in her “business-as-usual” pose – oh, my is it still Monday morning…can I get on with my week??
Next is Sherrod, who is just about to hold her pose free style, and who in a few more minutes pulls off a beautiful version of scorpion pose.
Here below we have Dave – who had never seen or attempted this pose before but essentially nailed it on his first try. Dave is technically sound on many arm balances poses so he was easily able to convert that awareness and knowledge to this pose, i.e. astavakrasana, or 8-angle posture.
Thanks to all who came out and made this a special occasion – looking forward to the next one!!
We both enjoyed the workshop, but I can see I have my work cut out for me! Namaste…
Candy, I think you are ahead of the game – great having you both there!!
How fun! Great job everyone! Wish I could have made a special trip to practice with you!!
Believe me – you were missed – but we remain hopeful you will make the next one!!
It was an honor and inspiration to practice with everyone!
I Love the pictures. Thanks Candy!
Such a fun workshop, can’t wait for the next one.
